Thank you for choosing Q-Be Grooming. Your dog's health and safety are our top priorities. We strive to ensure a positive grooming experience.
1. Allergic Reactions: We carefully select high-quality, gentle products for the skin and ears. However, reactions can still occur. Q-Be Grooming is not responsible for any product reactions. If your pet has sensitive skin or a dermatological condition, please bring your own product to the appointment.
2. Senior Pets: Senior pets are at higher risk of injury or illness. Ensure regular veterinary exams to confirm they are fit for grooming. Arthritis or joint pain may cause more stiffness post-grooming. If we have health concerns during grooming, we may need to adjust or stop the grooming session to prioritize their well-being.
3. Medical Emergencies: If your pet has a medical emergency during grooming, we will contact you immediately. If we cannot reach you or the situation is urgent, we may take your pet to an emergency vet. The owner is responsible for all veterinary costs.
4. Fleas: If fleas are found on your pet, a flea bath will be provided at an additional minimum cost of $30.00. Notification will be given if possible. This fee includes the special shampoo, time and extra cleanup to ensure the salon remains free of active parasites. The flea shampoo eliminates the fleas present on the pet only. If there are fleas in the owner’s home, the flea shampoo will not protect the pet once they leave the salon.
5. Matted Coats: Pets with matted coats need special care. If matting is minimal and the pet is cooperative, we will brush them for $25 per 30 mins (up to 1 hour). If mats are too severe or cause pain, we will stop brushing and shave them at a $25 fee after notifying you. If you do not consent to shaving, we may refuse service, and your pet must be picked up as-is without a bath or haircut.
Explanation: We firmly believe that a grooming session should be an enjoyable experience for your pet, and they should not endure unnecessary pain due to dematting.
During the dematting process, there is an increased risk of nicking, scratching, cuts, and other injuries for a matted dog. Additionally, the skin beneath the mats may exhibit redness, irritation, infection from soiled fur, and matting close to the skin. Although we exercise great care and attention to detail in every grooming session, Q-Be Grooming will not be held responsible for any injuries sustained while grooming a matted dog, including any subsequent effects.
We are more than willing to demonstrate effective brushing techniques to owners that help prevent matting. Regular brushing at home with a brush and comb, and maintaining a 6 to 8 week grooming schedule, will aid in preventing matting.
6. Aggressive Pets or Behavioral Issues: Inform Q-Be Grooming if your pet has a history of biting, is aggressive, unpredictable, or has behavioral issues. Failure to disclose makes you liable for medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage. We will attempt to groom uncooperative pets but may not complete the grooming if they pose a threat. We reserve the right to muzzle any dog for safety. Extremely aggressive and unruly pets will not be groomed. If your pet cannot be safely groomed, services may be terminated at any time and future service refused. You will need to pick up your pet and pay for grooming done up to that point.
7. Use of Muzzle: The use of a muzzle ensures the safety of both the pet and the groomer. In some cases, muzzling may help to calm a stressed animal, facilitating the grooming process. If a pet continues to show dangerous or aggressive behavior (such as biting or fighting), Q-Be Grooming may terminate grooming services at any time, and a service fee will be collected. Muzzles are used only when necessary for safety reasons.
8. Accidents: While rare, grooming accidents like nicks, cuts, scratches, and nail quicking can happen despite our careful approach. Any incident will be promptly communicated to the pet owner. If needed, Q-Be Grooming will take your pet to a vet, but any resulting bills due to matting, age, aggression, temperament, or pre-existing conditions are the owner's responsibility. Your pet's safety is our top priority, and we will notify you if safety concerns arise or if an accident occurs.
9. Anal Glands: Q-Be Grooming does not offer anal gland cleaning services. If your pet requires this procedure, kindly consult your veterinarian.
10. Late Pick-Up: When you drop off your pet, we will provide an estimated completion time for the services. You will receive a message approximately 30 minutes before the grooming is complete. Please ensure to pick up your pet on time. If your pet is not picked up within 15 minutes of the indicated ready time, a fee of $20 will be charged. We do not assume responsibility for anything that occurs while your pet is waiting to be picked up.
11. Satisfaction Guarantee: Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are not fully satisfied with the groom, please notify us within 24 hours of pick-up. We will schedule an appointment to adjust at the earliest opportunity. Adjustments requested beyond this 24-hour window may incur an additional fee.
12. Photo Consent: Q-Be Grooming is permitted to photograph your pet before and after grooming for use on our website, Facebook, advertising materials, and educational purposes.
